Symposium Objective:

Today’s challenges are global issues such as climate change, energy security, ethnic conflicts, and sustainable economic growth. To reduce the sense of stagnation, future leaders must be able to form concrete visions to resolve global issues, build a consensus amongst diverse groups with different interests and perspectives, and implement their visions. Around the world, many novel education programs have been developed to cultivate these leadership skills.

This symposium will discuss the abilities that innovative global leaders should possess and methods to realize them. Specifically, successful leadership education activities in secondary and higher education, human resource development in a company, and the activities of the TokyoTech Academy for Global Leadership (AGL) will be introduced.
