Call for teams for "Business Idea Pitch" for attending workshop of "Lean Launchpad" to be held in 2018 1Q/2Q

Are you interested in creating "business" from your idea of new products and/or services? I am pleased to inform you that "New Business Idea Pitch for joining Lean Launchpad program" will be held as follows. I would like to encourage all students to join the pitch as both presenters and/or audiences.

◆ Date & Time: 20/Feb(Tue) 18:00-19:30
◆ Venue: O-okayama South Building #5 S513
◆ Time for a presentation: within 5 minutes per a business idea
◆ Slides: Please prepare
◆ Language:
 (1) Pitch: either in Japanese or English
 (2) Slides: written in both Japanese and English or English only
◆ Commentators:
 (1) M/s Takashi Tsutsumi and Masato Iino,LLP facilitators, Learning Entrepreneurs Lab.

How to apply for the pitch presenter and notices for the pitch:


(1) Please fill in necessary information in the Application Form attached and send it to Prof. Yamada /AGL by 16/Feb(Fri). Notices as follows;


i. Members: The pitch should be made by a team, not individual. The team should consist of 2-4members. Although final number of members when Lean Launchpad program start will be 4-5, that at the pitch may be more than 2. You will be able to call other members at the pitch. The leader of the team should be Tokyo Tech student. Other members, however, can be the students of other university.
ii. Outline of Product(or service) : Just "idea" should be OK. Please clarify "sales points" of the product(or service).
iii. Possible users of the product(service): More detailed explanation, not like just "young people" or "female", will be appreciated.
iv. Have you check if somebody launched similar kind of product(service)? : If you can find competitor(s), please describe in detail.


(2) Since this is "Idea Pitch", no sophisticated/matured "idea" or "marketability" will be expected. The point will be whether checking of your hypothesis will be possible.


(3) A team will be able to apply multi number of business ideas.


(4) The presentation will be done by either English or Japanese. The slides, however, should be written in English


(5) How to apply for the pitch as audience?
Please inform me of your interest with information of your student number and faculty. If you want to be members of the team after hearing their presentation, please try to contact the team.


AGL Lean Launchpad
New Business Creation training program to be done in AGL/Yamada Dojo. The program will consist of 6 times of workshops to be started from Apr/2018 till middle of July/2018. The program was originally designed by Steve Blank, a serial entrepreneur in Silicon Valley and has been presented to Tokyo Tech students from 2013. The goal of this program is to identify "Early Adopter(s)" who is eager to have your product(service) as the result of enough number of your interviews with potential clients and pivoting business direction. Through the activities of generating new business from Zero, the students are being expected to learn mind-sets and capability for taking leadership.
